Good performance, poor venue

The venue was beautiful. It was in the heart of Shelter Island, so the views getting there were gorgeous and the venue was very classy and well decorated. However, I have to a dock a whole star because of the awkward seating. The seats were plastic foldable chairs zip tied together so they were far too close together, stiff, and small. At first, everything was fine until the couple next to me sat down. They were both obesed, so it was either the guy beside me would practically sit on my lap or I would have to scoot over. During the whole show, thanks to the poor seating, my girlfriend and I were squished by the obesed couple on one side and an over active guy on the right who thought it was okay to put his leg and hands on my girlfriend since she was pushed right next to him. I wish there was better seating because the whole time we were uncomfortable despite paying over 300$ for great seats facing the front center of the stage. Another star is going to be docked due to the food. However, Russel Peters himself was extremely hilarious and put on a great show. We had the dinner package and the food was just average, if not a bit disappointing. For a 75$ per person meal, I expected better. We had nice options for entree from land to sea, but I felt bad for the vegan guy beside us who only had risotto as his choice. Our appetizer, the heirloom tomato and lobster purée tasted worse than a can of tomato soup and was supposed to be elevated by pieces of shredded lobster. Our entrees: the filet mingnon was tender and cooked tenderly, but just poorly seasoned and lacked flavor. My girlfriend got the prime rib, which she said tasted great from the sweetness of the Brussels sprouts and contrasting saltiness of the candied pork, but the prime rib itself was tough and dry. They also messed up our dessert, we ordered one of each but they brought us the same dessert instead. The show was nearing, so we decided to just settle and eat what was brought out without a complaint. The highlight of our meals were unfortunately the bread and dessert. The service we received at the restaurant was fantastic, with a very attentive server and a never empty drink though.
